What is MBCN?
Metastatic Breast Cancer Network (MBCN) is a national independent advocacy group of and for people with metastatic breast cancer. We intend to give metastatic breast cancer patients a greater voice in the breast cancer community.
What is MBCN's mission?
MBCN's mission is to change the way metastatic breast cancer is viewed by the breast cancer community and the public at large. MBCN intends to grow stronger as a proactive voice in the breast cancer community, dedicated to easing fear of metastatic disease, ending isolation, exposing misconceptions, and developing strategies for living with the disease and coping with treatment. And most important MBCN will continue to fight for the development of treatments to extend life as the search for the cure continues.
What MBCN programs and activities are scheduled for the future?
MBCN is building a national membership and developing educational materials for people with metastatic disease and healthcare professionals. Programs currently in development include speakers bureaus, conferences, workshops, newsletters. Additionally, MBCN plans to support and help promote programs undertaken by other organizations to benefit people with metastatic breast cancer.
