  • Become a member. There are no dues or fees.
  • As a member, you will be notified of conferences and meetings focusing on metastatic breast cancer.
  • With your membership, MBCN will have the power of numbers when advocating for treatments to extend life.
  • By joining us, MBCN gains strength when advocating for our recognition in the breast cancer community.
  • As a member, you have the opportunity to be a part of THE proactive metastatic voice.

• EMPOWER YOURSELF! Speak with your local breast cancer organization or your hospital or oncologist to connect with other metastatic patients.

• SUPPORT EACH OTHER!  Join a metastatic group or form a metastatic group. Visit Support Groups on our EVENTS page to see if there is a support group in your area. Meet weekly to share coping strategies. For assistance in forming a support group in your area, contact getinvolved.mbcnet@gmail.com . 
  
  
• BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE! Get the best treatment possible.  Invite an oncologist from each local hospital to your meetings to discuss the latest treatments. Visit the NEWS board regularly to keep up with current advances.

• GET MORE ATTENTION! Request that your cancer center put on a program to present the latest research on metastatic disease. Don’t give up! Find the person to make this happen. Be the person to make this happen.

• REACH OUT! Request that the established breast cancer organizations in your area have programs for patients with metastatic disease. Be persistent!

• BE MORE VISIBLE! Attend cancer conferences. Make your presence known at these conferences. We need to make people aware that we, the metastatic breast cancer community, exist. Contact us beforehand.. we will send you an MBCN t-shirt to wear to make your presence more visible.   

• BE MORE VOCAL! Until there is a cure, we need better treatments. We need treatments to prolong life. The Metastatic Breast Cancer Network encourages you to be THE proactive voice in your cancer community. Let your voice be heard!
